Varsity Football · Davis Named GHSF’s Student Athlete of the Week

Vidalia’s junior quarterback Bryce Davis has been named the GHSF’s scoutSMART Student-Athlete of the week. Davis ranks fifth in his class with a 4.0 GPA with a schedule that includes Honors classes. Last week he rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown and passed for 172 yards and a TD in the Indians 43-20 victory against East Laurens. Bryce also had a 42-yard punt that pinned the Falcons’ inside their 10-yard line. “Bryce Davis is the definition of student-athlete and carries a 4.0 GPA while being a multi-sport athlete,” head coach Jason Cameron said. “His leadership is what separates him from most, and he is an amazing teammate. There is no doubt that he is a great athlete, but he is definitely a better young man.” Davis is a member of the National Honor Society & Beta Club and is involved with Community Leadership as a member of the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy

The GHSF Daily, in conjunction with scoutSMART, will be announcing a football student-athlete of the week each Friday this season. The ideal candidate will be outstanding on the field and in the classroom.*
