With a challenging course and steep competition at hand, the Vidalia Lady Indians competed well, coming in 2nd place behind host Bleckley County at the Bleckley Invitational Thursday. Hitting their mid-season stride, the Vidalia Boys & Girls Cross Country Teams hit the ground running Saturday morning in Carrollton at the Carrollton Orthopedic Invitational. Senior Michael Blount and Junior Sarah Owen led their respective teams to top-ten finishes with the Indians finishing in 5th place and the Lady Indians registering an 8th place finish.

The Vidalia High School boys and girls Cross Country teams made a great showing at this past weekend’s Furlow Fast Feet Invitational in Americus. Both the girls and boys teams finished second in the meet behind Lee County, with the Class 6A team outscoring the boys 32-57 and the girls 56-59. Standout runner Sarah Owen
